Rabat
Rabat is the capital of Morocco and considered one of the imperial cities founded in the 12th century. Its alluring sunny "beaches" and green "Mamora forest" are closer borders of the city. Many medieval "Moorish buildings" still remain including "Hassan Tower", the great minaret of the incomplete 12th-century mosque. Wonderful monuments, the "Archeological Museum" in "Chellah and Oudaia" , Bab(gate of)Chellah and the gate of Oudaia await your exploration. Both "Kasabahs" are wonderful traditional buildings in the Rabat region. During your visit there observe the defensive "earthen walls" which date back to the 12th century surrounding the old towns, castles and "Kasbah's", and parts of new city. You can also visit the "Mausoleum" of the ancient kings ‘Mohammed V’ and his son ‘Hassan II’.
